Hydrocodone Addiction Treatment Medication
Narcotic AddictionMedication, in the form buprenorphine, Vicodin ® , is available for those needing medical assistance with Hydrocodone withdrawals. Going by the tradename, Suboxone ®, buprenorphone was developed as an alternative to methodone for the treatment of narcotic addiction. Treatment must be carried out by a physician trained in buprenorphine treatment protocols. Treatment for hydrocodone addiction may take up to 12 months. Patients must undergo in office buprenorphine induction, followed by regular montly check ups.
